Name: Kivara
Gender: She-wolf
Age: 5 years
Description: Kivara is slightly tall in appearance, just above 3'5" which still falls within the normal range of her breed. Her pelt is a dark black, although in winter it can dull to a dark gray. Her pelt is medium in length, and thickens in winter. Her eyes are a rich golden color, contrasting against her normally midnight-colored fur. Her throat has a thicker patch of fur that appears barely any thicker than the rest of her fur, until someone tries to get at her throat. A small scar is hidden underneath her fur on her left hind-leg. Her head is slightly angled, and her eyes are ovular.
Personality:
Strong of will and mind, Kivara takes things into her own paws. She doesn't back down in a fight, unless it's clear that her pack cannot win. She looks out for what is best for her pack, and even if her words are not what they would like to hear, she sticks by them.
Patient, this dark she-wolf could be described in one simple word. Her words fall calmly, openly every time she speaks. She waits, and can keep waiting for as long as needed. This makes her a wonderful hunter, and a valuable pack member. Her patience helps her form out battle plans, or hunting patterns that could be used to her packs advantage.
Secretly afraid, there are a few things Kivara fears, and most of them seem pretty normal. She's afraid of losing what little she has left. Her family is mostly gone, except for her sister, Iluri. Along with Iluri, she has her pack, the Shadowed Hearts, but that is all she has. And she holds tightly to them. In fact, she would put herself in harm's way before she subjected any of her packmates to anything that could cause them pain. She's also afraid of heights. Terrified of them, truthfully. It's a simple fear, but one she won't confide in anyone, not even her sister.
Kivara dislikes disobedience. If there is anything that could get her to show she has a temper, it would be someone disobeying their higher-ups. She does not tolerate disobedience, and sees every such act as a challenge against her. It's her one true dislike, and one thing that helps her keep her pack loyal.
The one thing Kivara has a undying love for, has to be pups. She loves pups, even though they can become annoying. Younger wolves, period, seem to find a soft spot in this she-wolf's heart.
Another thing this wolf absolutely loves would have to be hunting. She cannot stand living without being able to run or take part in a hunt with her pack.
Family:
Vala - mother - dead
Kevano - father - dead
Wilak - brother - dead
Uteya - sister - dead
Vanake - sister - dead
Iluri - sister - dead
History:
Puphood
Kivara's puphood was almost boring. Not much happened. She was born to Vala and Kevano. Her siblings were Wilak, Uteya, Vanake, and Iluri. Out of all of her siblings, Kivara was closest to her brother Wilak, and her sister Iluri. Uteya and Vanake were too violent for her tastes, especially when playing. So they normally stayed together, away from the rest of her family when they played. Not much happened during this time. She ate, she slept, she played, and she learned stories about her pack.
Adolescence
When Kivara entered into the stage of adolescence, her mother, Vala, died of an unknown sickness. Her siblings and her were devastated, but this was the main event that caused Kivara to become a level-headed young she-wolf. She learned about hunting and fighting during this stage of her life, and she enjoyed playing with Wilak and Iluri a lot more than she had when she was a pup. Though, that might have been a side effect of having more energy.
Life as a Subordinate
Kivara was finally a true member of the pack. She could hunt and fight about as well as most new members could. It made her feel accomplished, but she didn't let it get to her head like Uteya and Vanake did. They began to boast about their abilities, and it wasn't long before both of them were killed by various other creates. Uteya died during a hunt when she refused to follow the hunting pattern, and Vanake was killed by a lone wolf when she decided to attack without reason. This was also around the time when Kivara lost her brother, Wilak, to a sickness that seemed very similar to the one that had claimed their mother. her final sibling died shortly after by a lone werewolf.
RP Example:
A black streak raced through the forest, her tail and head held high as a howl tore from her throat. The howl in itself was lyrical and commanding. Her posture alone showed that she was dominant, but her dominance was not overpowering. It didn't have to be. Her pawsteps slowed gradually as she approached a clearing nearby. Rich, golden eyes flickered around the clearing for a few moments, her ears pricking forward with anticipation and patience.
Soft steps against slightly crinkling leaves, left over from the past fall. She sat down, her midnight-black tail curling easily around her front paws. Her head was still held high, but her posture was graceful and elegant. She didn't look stern or overpowering, simply strong. Her gaze was calm, and held a clearness that was always a welcome sight.
Kivara, the pack she had been born into, lost much to, and rose in the ranks to her current position. Yet she didn't take her position for granted. Kevano had allowed her to take up her current position, and she could lose it at any time. Other wolves in her pack had seen the decline in their strength after the death of his mate, and others would be looking at taking the role once it opened up. Of course, she would have the first chance at the position.
She couldn't say that was what she truly wanted, but it was. She wasn't ambitious, necessarily, but she knew she could be a very good leader to her packmates. And that was what kept her going. She wasn't going to give up her position to just anyone, but if they wanted to challenge her, they could. And if they truly were the better wolf, Kivara would step down, allowing them to take her spot. But currently? She hadn't noticed any other wolves planning to challenge her, and since they were following her loyally, she didn't think there would be.
Of course, she could always be wrong, she had been before. But with Kevano on the decline, she had been taking over most of the duties that he used to oversee. In fact, she was leading the hunt at that exact moment, waiting for her packmates to join with her first though. Her sister, Iluri, would be among the few other wolves she had chosen for this hunt, and Kivara knew it would be something special. Hunts normally were for her.
