Blue perked her ears when she heard the sound. She started to walk slowy to not make a sound. The scent was still not close to her. She still kept on walking untell she stopped. The scent became stronger which ment she was getting closer to the deer.
Tom nodded. He looked over at Snow and saw her blush. He smiled and then looked straight ahead.

Aura flicks her tail, making sure not to brush any leaves. She takes a different root than Blue to surround the deer, still staying downwind.
Snow starts creeping forowrd. So this is what it felt like to hunt in a pack...

Blue took some steps forward. She saw it and grinned to herself. She looked at the other wolves to see if they saw the deer too.
Tom came quietly behinded the deer.

Aura nods to Blue then looks at the others.
Snow pauses a little then nods to the others.

Blue nodded back to her and she looked back at the deer.
Tom looked at the other wolves. He nodded to Blue and then looked back at the deer.

Aura looks back at the deer. They were all ready, now all they had to do was follow the signal.
Snow smiled. She knew how to do this hunting thing. She would probably runs beside Tom and chase the deer towards Blue diagonally.

Xan and Serendipity both crouched in wait. Serendipity was unaware really what to do and stayed near the back to watch and learn for later.

Blue ran at the deer and she saw it running away. There was no way this deer was going to get away from them.
Tom took off running too and Tom was ready to nip at the deer when he was close enough to it.

Xan, at sight of the others running, ran as well. He bounding forward behind Blue though knew that all coming from direction would not do well for their side. He slowed just enough for her to pass and dashed around her. He bolted around and through the trees passed the deer though not by much. He would have to get quite a bit ahead before he lunged in front. After a while, he did so and blocked the deer from running further without coliding into him.

The deer skided to a halt and dipped it's head. It tried to buck at the other wolves and also tried to kick. Blue slowed down and then tried to jump on it's back. It was very hard when the deer was kicking and moveing around.
Tom manged to bite at it's leg. He quickly let go for a sceond so it wouldn't kick him. He then bite down on the deer's leg again.

Xan swerved a little each way making sure the deer could not escape. As Tom bit into its leg, he saw it begin to fall slightly. This was good, they were weakening it. Soon, they would have their food.
Serendipity chased after them, but knew not what to do.

Blue backed up some. She bite down on the other leg. "Someone jump on it's back now!" She yelled right after she let go of the deer's leg. She did it again and looked at the other wolves.
Tom kept a hold of it. He wasn't going to let go untell the deer was dead.

Xan did not hesitate to do as he was ordered. He pounced onto the deers back knocking it off its little balance it had left. He bit into the neck of the trapped deer and broke it nearly instantaneously. He held it down a moment longer before he released and jumped off. The deer was dead.

Both of them let go of the deer when Xan jumped on it's back. Blue watched Xan and she saw the deer fall to the ground. She looked over at the deer. "You can eat it first since you killed it." She said.
Tom sat down and licked some of the blood off his fur.

Xan shook his head and back a little bit aways bowing towards Blue. "Our leader always eats first," he insisted. It may have been that he was a gentlemen or maybe just old fashioned, but he knew he would never eat first.
